Born & raised in Texas, I learned to sew from my mother when I was very young. All I’ve ever wanted to make is wedding dresses. I got my degree in Apparel Design & Manufacturing from Texas Tech and moved to Austin after graduating.
After moving to Austin, I had an internship with Linda Asaf, where I was able to design and make a dress for my first bride. After having the rewarding experience of giving a bride her perfect dress, I knew I didn’t want to do anything else.
I love the smile on each bride’s face when she gets into her dress and it’s her own perfect fit. Kira Kouture is committed to making happy, smiling brides whether it be a few alterations, a simple veil, or an entire custom-made wedding day look.
